Glass Orb, a Metal shader for SwiftUI
SwiftUI Metal shader

Glass Orb

A raymarched wavy-glass orb in nine styles — Wave (electric indigo ridges), Ember (fast warm folds), Mint (fine pale-green ripples), Frost (crystalline icy ridges), Sky (quiet pale-blue shimmer), Storm (chaotic steel bands), Coral (crossing peach waves), Ice (tight cyan ripples), Magenta (drifting vivid ripples). Every style is real glass — light refracts through to the back surface for deep colored valleys. Tune the glass colour, ripple frequency, depth and speed; the rest of each orb's personality lives in its standalone .metal.

How it works

Glass Orb is a real [[stitchable]] Metal shader, not a video or an image. It runs as a SwiftUI .colorEffect, so it paints any view you attach it to. You shape it with sliders in a live preview, then export the .metal file and the SwiftUI code that uses it, or the React Native and Web version. No MSL to write.
