Drop
Teal into foam into pale glass, with a silhouette that breathes. Three waves — 3, 5 and 7 lobes — travel the rim at different speeds while the core holds still, so the outline swells and pinches while the liquid inside ignores it. Glassy and high in refraction: the field is pulled hard toward the centre as the sphere turns away, then graded through a three-stop Oklab ramp, split per channel at the rim into fringes and finished with a hard glint.
How it works
Drop is a real [[stitchable]] Metal shader, not a video or an image. It runs as a SwiftUI .colorEffect, so it paints any view you attach it to. You shape it with sliders in a live preview, then export the .metal file and the SwiftUI code that uses it, or the React Native and Web version. No MSL to write.
