Ember Orb
Molten streaks over charcoal — a hot, heavy churn lit from the lower right. The silhouette holds still while the liquid inside turns: every point rides its own small circle once per loop, so the loop closes with no jump. A marbled four-octave field is graded through a three-stop Oklab ramp — char, flame, ash — split per channel at the rim into fringes, lit by a rim light and a single glint, and set in a live halo of its own char colour so the heat stands off the ball.
How it works
Ember Orb is a real [[stitchable]] Metal shader, not a video or an image. It runs as a SwiftUI .colorEffect, so it paints any view you attach it to. You shape it with sliders in a live preview, then export the .metal file and the SwiftUI code that uses it, or the React Native and Web version. No MSL to write.
